However, merely two years ago, he vanished from the fashion scene after finding the women\u2019s ready-to-wear scene too limiting; shuttering his eponymous line that was known for its clean, sculptural lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The constant cycle of fast fashion led Louren\u00e7o, now 28 years old, to seek other alternatives. Terms like sustainability and inclusivity were becoming a part of the fashion lexicon for the first time. And so, in 2018,&nbsp;<g class=\"gr_ gr_7 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"7\" data-gr-id=\"7\">Zilver<\/g>&nbsp;was born: a&nbsp;fashion-forward brand united by a strong ethos \u2013 unisex and sustainable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1080\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lambert.associates\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Zilver-SS19-Collection.jpg\" alt=\"Zilver S\/S19 Collection\" class=\"wp-image-832\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lambert.associates\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Zilver-SS19-Collection.jpg 1080w, https:\/\/www.lambert.associates\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Zilver-SS19-Collection-800x533.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.lambert.associates\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Zilver-SS19-Collection-320x213.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.lambert.associates\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Zilver-SS19-Collection-560x373.jpg 560w, https:\/\/www.lambert.associates\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Zilver-SS19-Collection-640x427.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px\" \/><figcaption>Zilver Spring\/Summer 19 Collection<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4>On sustainability &amp; transparency<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>When <g class=\"gr_ gr_6 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"6\" data-gr-id=\"6\">Zilver&#8217;s<\/g>&nbsp;CEO Daniel Rosner came to meet us in our London office to go through the collection in greater detail, it was clear that he is fixated on solving fashion\u2019s damaging environmental reputation. Credit goes to Rosner for remaining entirely transparent with the difficulties of becoming sustainable. Rosner admits that whilst the brand strives for 100% sustainability, the brand ranks its current efforts at 80%, with still some way to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example,&nbsp;<g class=\"gr_ gr_7 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"7\" data-gr-id=\"7\">Zilver<\/g>&nbsp;hired a Head of Sustainability who consults with the design team from the first stages of product fabrication down to the last thread. The brand has also worked extensively with <a href=\"https:\/\/eco-age.com\/\">Eco Age<\/a>, the sustainability consultancy headed up by Livia Firth. Using organic cotton and recycled nylon, fabrics are reworked into elegant silhouettes with a slight nod to motorcycling culture. Asymmetrical lines and cut out detailing demonstrate Louren\u00e7o\u2019s skill. One of the most impressive pieces was an exquisite featherweight khaki bomber made from plastic bottles collected from the ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>On inclusivity<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Ethics is the word that best defines our era and <g class=\"gr_ gr_6 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"6\" data-gr-id=\"6\">Zilver<\/g> chooses to align itself with LGBT rights and environmental causes over It girls. Transgender models are genuine friends and fans of the brand and frequently used in advertising campaigns. <g class=\"gr_ gr_7 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"7\" data-gr-id=\"7\">Zilver<\/g> refuses to pay for any type of influencer marketing, preferring to work with &#8216;silent heroes&#8217;. The brand defines their &#8216;silent heroes&#8217; as the ones that champion environmental causes like David de Rothschild a British ecologist and environmentalist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>What&#8217;s next at Zilver?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><g class=\"gr_ gr_15 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"15\" data-gr-id=\"15\">Zilver<\/g>&nbsp;has a unique point of view, seemingly ticking off every box on a millennial consumer\u2019s wishlist. The brand had a&nbsp;soft launch in September 2018 to critical acclaim with its unisex collection at London Fashion Week. To&nbsp;us, the brand brings novelty in an era when customers have become more demanding.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of date, the brand has a very limited online presence. The <g class=\"gr_ gr_93 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"93\" data-gr-id=\"93\">Zilver<\/g> team&nbsp;have been busy working with developers to create a custom design uniquely optimised for mobile and the launch of a new website is scheduled this year.
